Duck N Bao brings the bold, complex flavors of Sichuan province to Houston. Founded by Grace and Leo Xia, who opened their first location in Cypress in 2020, each dish is rooted in the culinary traditions of Southwest China — the numbing heat of Sichuan peppercorn, the richness of doubanjiang, and the wok hei that comes from cooking over high flame. Our Peking duck is marinated and air-dried for 24 to 48 hours before roasting, a preparation that delivers the lacquered skin and juicy meat the dish is known for. Handmade dumplings, including our pork xiao long bao and black truffle soup dumplings, are wrapped fresh in-house daily.
Since opening our first location in Cypress, Texas, in 2020, the Xias have received critical acclaim and a warm community welcome. This success has led to expansions in Houston, with new locations in Memorial (2021) and Rice Village (2024).
